1. Create a directory in your home directory called Web_docs
   • mkdir $HOME/Web_docs
2. Make sure it is readable by all:
   • chmod 755 $HOME/Web_docs
3. Create a file in $HOME/Web_docs called index.html
   • This is the page that will be returned by default. It may include links to other pages
4. Make sure that index.html is readable by all:
   • chmod 644 $HOME/Web_docs/index.html

The URL for your homepage will be:

http://dusty.physics.uiowa.edu/~userid
where userid is your userid on dusty.
